Radisson Hotel Brussels | The language of travertine-effect porcelain stoneware for contemporary hospitality

Set in natural surroundings on the outskirts of Brussels and designed with a focus on sustainability, the Radisson Hotel Brussels embodies a contemporary vision of hospitality, where architecture, interior design and landscaping come together to create a cohesive and refined experience. Atlas Concorde porcelain stoneware surfaces feature throughout the hotel, from the communal areas to the guest rooms and the pool area.

The interiors, designed by Belgian architect Olivier Dwek, are characterised by a minimalist aesthetic, featuring warm tones, materials with a strong tactile presence and carefully designed details. Bas Smets’ landscape design reinforces the relationship between the building and its surroundings, whilst the use of geothermal systems for heating and cooling demonstrates the project’s focus on technological solutions with a low environmental impact

Atlas Concorde surfaces feature throughout the hotel’s various spaces, from floors to wall coverings, helping to create a distinctive visual and textural identity. The Marvel Travertine collection in travertine-effect porcelain stoneware, in the White Vein Cut variant, takes centre stage in the communal areas, the restaurant, the guest rooms, the bathrooms and the pool area. This ceramic reinterpretation of travertine, characterised by a natural pattern and luminous, sophisticated shades, bridges the transition between different functions and spaces whilst maintaining a strong sense of design coherence. In the bathrooms, the Atlas Concorde Habitat washbasins, crafted from travertine-effect porcelain stoneware, extend this same focus on texture to the furnishings, creating a harmonious relationship between surfaces and accessories. In the bar, the counter becomes a distinctive feature of the design thanks to the large slab of Marvel Gala Exotic Green porcelain stoneware, with a green marble effect. The deep green background, criss-crossed by bold, striking veins, introduces a colour accent that contrasts with the more neutral tones of the other rooms. The expressive power of the surface enhances the bar counter as the true focal point of the space, lending character and depth to the interior design.

The versatility of the Atlas Concorde collections allows for continuity between indoor and outdoor areas, with coordinated floor and wall tiles, and meets the various functional requirements of a hospitality project.
